What do I need to be able to order on Glasses Direct?
Before you place an order with us, you need to make sure you have an up-to-date prescription. If you don’t have a prescription to hand just yet, you can still order and select ‘send prescription later’. For more information on recommended intervals between eye tests, read this article.
You will also need to have your payment method ready. This can be a credit or debit card, or a PayPal account. On compatible devices, Apple Pay is also available.
How do I find a frame that suits me?

How do I place an order with Glasses Direct?
When you’ve found a frame you like, add it to your basket.
Next, follow the lens instructions to ensure you’re choosing the best ones for you. Start by selecting your vision type, followed by lens category and then packages. You can see a list of all available lens options here.
If you’re using our free second pair offer, make sure to select a second frame before completing your purchase. Both frames must be ordered at the same time.
Enter your prescription, or select ‘send prescription later’ if you don’t have it to hand.
Continue to pay via credit, debit card, PayPal or Apple Pay.
Other ordering questions
You can cancel or amend your order at any time before dispatch, to do this please contact us.
After following steps to select your lens options, you’ll be given three choices for sharing your prescription. You can either:
Send your prescription later - if you don't have your prescription to hand, you can send it to us via email, telephone or post after your order is complete.
Enter a new prescription - enter the corresponding values seen on your prescription into the online form and one of our qualified opticians will check through everything. Learn more about how to do this here.
Use a saved prescription - if you’ve shopped with Glasses Direct before, you can use a previously entered prescription (as long as it still valid and not out of date).
If you want to add a new prescription, you can also add it under ‘My Account’ at any time.
When choosing your frames, make sure to select two pairs from our 2-for-1 range. If you have only chosen one pair, when you reach your basket, you will see a reminder telling you to choose a second pair.
You MUST add both pairs to the same order to receive the second pair for free. If you forget, please contact our customer service team. For more details on our offer, click here.
